Getting started with Great Yarmouth Cycling Club
Club Runs
Club runs are every Sunday morning. If you would like to keep fit, meet new people, or just have some fun on your bike, then the club run is perfect. We meet at 8.30am every Sunday, outside the Archers Pub in Bradwell.
Safe off-road coaching, training and track racing
Every other Saturday, (see the dates in the events page) we have access to the Great Yarmouth Stadium. Here we have a safe off-road environment where we can train, from basic training to advanced track training.

GYCC Novice TT scheme
The GYCC novice scheme aims to help you get started in cycle sport and improve your general fitness. We ask that you join our club (annual membership is £7.50 for concessions/u16 or £15 for adults) and in exchange we will set your a beginners four week training programme - nothing too strenous or time consuming. Each week (or whenever you can) for 4 weeks, come and ride our Thursday night time trial at Somerleyton and if you do not see an improvement we will give you your membership fee back. If you want to carry on after the 4 weeks, we ask all new members to buy a club jersey for only £20 (they are normally £35-£45 and the extra cost is subsidised by the club).
The other benefits of membership include:
- Pedal Revolution (East Anglia's leading cycle shop) discount scheme
- Free coaching and use of Great Yarmouth Stadium track
- Free insurance cover during club events
- Full programme of club events and team rides
- Subsidised club clothing
